בשבוע האחרון במהלך התקפה חטיבתית על כפר בדרום לבנון ולאחר מבצע חידוש אספקה לוגיסטי, נפלו חמישה לוחמים בגדוד שריון במילואים, גדוד 89 שפעל תחת הצק״ח: רס״ן (מיל׳) דן מאורי, סרן (מיל׳) אלון ספראי, רס״ב (מיל׳) עמרי לוטן, רס״ב (מיל׳) גיא עידן ורס״ר (מיל׳) תום סגל הי"ד. צה״ל משתתף בצער המשפחות וימשיך ללוותן. באותו אירוע נפצעו עוד 19 לוחמים מצוות הקרב הגדודי.
לאחר פינוי מורכב תחת אש, המשיכו הכוחות בהתקפה על מנת לסיים את משימתם לטיהור והסרת הטרור במרחב.
