בפעילות נוספת בהובלת מספן מודיעין והמטה של זרוע הים, מטוסי קרב של חיל האוויר תקפו בביירות את הבסיס המרכזי של היחידה הימית של ארגון הטרור חיזבאלה אשר שימש את היחידה כמוקד פעילות מרכזי בו אוחסנו עשרות כלי שיט של היחידה ובוצעו הדרכות לכוח הימי של הארגון במטרה לפגוע במטרות ימיות ואסטרטגיות במרחב הימי של מדינת ישראל.

בצה"ל הדגישו כי רוב טילי חוף-ים של חיזבאללה, בהם לטווחים של עד 300 ק"מ, שאיימו לפגוע בנמלי חיפה, אשדוד ובאסדות הגז של ישראל, הושמדו בתקיפות האחרונות של צה"ל, בעיקר בביירות לפני כחודש: בכיר בצה,ל אמר לווינט: "לפני המלחמה עבדנו קשה מודיעינית לאתר איפה נמצאים אותם עשרות טילי חוף-ים מתקדמים, מסוגים שונים ומתוצרת איראנית, שהם התכוונו לשגר במטחים גם לעבר הספינות שלנו. לא סתם ביצענו תקיפות כה מדויקות ומוצלחות".
